Thats crazy! I built mine on Black Friday '08 for $750. Looks the price of everything (performance wise) has gone up

I agree but the 752 kinda blows the 700 budget.

Ok ,switched out the PSU with this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371035

And switched out the case with this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129042

Total is at $662

Unless there is a better video card for the same price I'm gonna go with the one I picked out. As stated before its a budget build for "light gaming". I just wanted something better than integrated graphics.

Antec 300...no cable management
Take a Rosewill Destroyer over it any day

And why not my x4 640 + Biostar 870 combo? It costs a full $14 cheaper than your x3 + ASUS 870 combo and features 4 cores guaranteed; the mobo quality is also quite good.
This RAM would also OC better than that G.Skill Ripjaws 1333 CL7 for $10 less ($25 less counting the rebate); it's a proven OC-er, managing 1600 at 7-8-7 or 8-8-8, and even near-2000Mhz at 9-9-9 (on processors that will run the 2000 - pretty much the Phenom II x6 only)

I appreciate the advice but the parts have already been ordered.

Damned
Should at least be getting 4 cores for $700!
(Well, $550 considering there's a monitor)
get the 550 be and try to unlock if it is only a internet rig...
This is my cheap rig. Should total out @ $550-600 with NewEgg combos:

-AMD Phenom II x2 555 $85-90
-GTX460 1GB (get a 768mb or 550ti) $120-$150
-750w Cougar PSU $70
-Seagate 1tb $55-60
-AMD770 Gigabyte $70
-4GB G.Skill $50
-NZXT Blitz case $50

that's without monitor. I did some upgrades because of overclocking. Get a 22" LED Acer, they're about $130 and are excellent. My 555 is now an overclocked B55, performance is incredible for the price I paid for it.

EDIT:
If you plan on getting a Phenom II dual get the 555 as its unlocking/overclocking capabilities are significantly better than the 550's.

I picked up a GT 430 for an HTPC which is the equivalent of your build: light gaming, mostly HD and video. Haven't really gamed, but the GPU amazes me coming from a GTX 285. It idles at 30C, whereas my 285 idles at ~50C. Haven't really tested it yet, waiting to get some fan controllers.

Quality PSU, as well. Plus gives you room to expand.

That Rosewill Destroyer seems like a decent case, not a big fan of the look though. Will you be OC'ing? If not, then I don't think the lack of cable management will kill you. You can do a good enough job (I have the 900 and it's basically in the same boat), and I like it because it's one of the few that's got two front intakes. But hey, to each his own.

Enjoy your new computer.
