High ambient in one spot...

Thread Starter
Title says all... I have a spot in my case with way too high temps.

The case is in the sig rig, and its the spot of which the heat problem is to the right of my GPU, and extends to the bottom right hand side of the mobo next to my drive bays.

I have a 120mm intake on the bottom front panel of my case, and intake on the side pannel, and 2 120mm fans for exhaust at the top.

I think the heat spot is causing my GPU to be a little more hot than it could be, any ideas on how to eliminate this heat spot? I have all my fan slots filled. I am thinking its from my HDD's, maybe rearranging the would help?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Could try ghetto rigging another fan in that general area with some cable ties. Could we get a pic of what we're working with?

How about a pic of your internals? might help a little bit if we can see where your HDD's/optical/what ever else you got going on in there.

Sorry for the late reply, ive been busy! Never the less I have a picture that should prove to be helpful and hopefully simple to understand.

Red square=mobo
Green=GPU
Blue= HDD's (small blue hdd is a laptop hdd)

Can someone please help me figure out a way to mount a way, or figure out a better air flow system to reduce the high temps in that spot of my case??

Your gonna need to give us an actual pic of the inside of your case.

Can you pop a fan on the bottom of your case to the left of the hdd 's? To blow that air up?

I would try to ad a second fan to the top of your case as an EXHAUST fan. dose your computer have a side pannel fan spot?? if it dose I would stick on on both of those spots. you wont need stupid high CFM fans. just get what ever has a noise level you ok with. also. how is your PSU mounted? When i mount mine upside down(the fan is pulling air from out side the bottem of teh case and blowing it out the back of the PSU) i droped my tems by about 5c

also, a pick of your actual rig would be realy helpfull, you might just have a mess of wires lol. good luck post more.

yeah I have a side panel fan, my PSU is mouted at the bottom with the fan facing the bottom on the case (theres a vent). Theres no mess of wires, just the wires powering my gpu.

And I have all my fans filled. It almost seems like my airflow is being blocked.

I don't own a camera, and my phone camera is horrible but ill try when i get home I guess.. That pic is exactly what my case is though.. I will try and get pics I guess.
