Who's still rocking 775? - Page 3

Still using my q9550 here! I want to upgrade to a better cooler so I can get a better overclock, but may just do a full system upgrade this summer if bulldozer is really impressive. The Core2 series is still great though.

*I actually would like a motherboard upgrade too..but would like to put money into a new platform if I am going to be spending a good amount on one of the main components. Good 775 motherboards are still pretty pricey really, between $100-150.

The problem in the U.S. is that the Q9550 sells for the same price as an AMD 955 and motherboard. The two are very close in performance, so I gave up on my hunt for a Q9550. It just didn't make any sense.

Hells yeah, Q9650 represent!! Still going strong, No need for an upgrade, I just got my Corsair H70 TODAY, so ill be OC'ing to 4GHz!!!

Not planning to upgrade till after Ivy Bridge!!

My next upgrade will be another HD5770 and I'll be set for another year, at least. I don't forsee a need to abandon 775 anytime in the near future.

Q9550 here and still going.... though I did move up from the 8800GT to the GTX460

and yes I named my computer the Cryetk07 because I built it when Crysis 1 came out and used that game to run all my tests!
