Hmm, I wonder how nasty looking something like that would come out if I tried making a block for my board using my drill press with a cross slide vise as a ghetto milling machine?

You get things that look like this:


We all start somewhere and that is exactly how I started. a 6" cross slide vise, drill press, and some end mills. (thats for the X58 classy btw)

Once I get the brushed finish, the rubber gloves come out. Then its washed/cleaned, and I use a special copper clear coat to seal it in so then it can be held.
