Chirping noise emitting from PSU

This actually has been going on for a while, from time to time, but I always forgot to look into it.

The noise only happens intermittently, with seemingly nothing specifically setting it off. I set my ear near the top of my case and moved down, and I'm pretty sure that the sound is emanating from inside the PSU. It's not the capacitor/coil squealing I've heard in the past.

I did a search, and the few topics I found had mixed responses. I'll be rebuilding my computer this Summer, so it would be an opportune time to RMA, if it comes down to that.

Opinions?

i would suggest trying another outlet. (if possible on another circuit)

in the past i've had a similar issue where the psu was trying to regulate the voltage. I was getting to much electrical noise in the line. Due to the inability to move my computer i got a UPS system that can manage and regulate the voltages. Ever since i have not had a problem.

May not be the case for you though.

Noise from PSUs are normally caused by overheating issues, in my experience... Does your PSU feel hot at all when these noises are coming?

I'm guessing it's not the line, nor the temps, since this has happened intermittently both back in Minnesota at home, months after I had built it, and also here in the dorms at college. I haven't noticed a pattern of whether it happens on hotter days.
