Aerocool E80-700

Thread Starter
Hi peeps. Anyone used the Aerocool E80-700 : http://www.aerocool.com.tw/index.php/products/power-supply/38-eco-friendly-series/51-e80-700 PSU before? Is it good/bad? I couldn't really find reviews on other sites maybe due to it's newly released. I'm thinking of getting 1 if i'm getting a new GPU in the near future. Thanks in advance.

Bolding your posts doesn't make people more likely to respond. It's annoying, like speaking loudly. Please stop.

I don't know much about this unit, and I can't ID the platform from the pictures provided. However, it does appear to be a double forward based unit with active PFC, and the ratings on the label are very reasonable for a 700W unit. I'm not positive without seeing one tested or opened up, but I'd give it a provisional thumbs up.

EDIT: One possibility is that it's an Andyson E-series unit, in which case depending on how much Aerocool spends per unit it could be mediocre to upper-mid-range. But based on their naming and the specs I'd say they took an Andyson E750 and chopped off the extra 50W Andyson tacks on of unrealistic +5V/+3.3V/+5VSB/-12V power.

Again, can't be sure without seeing one opened up.

My bad. I thought bolding it makes the font more clearly.

Okay. Will get that in a later time. Thanks smile.gif

Thanks. I've decided to get the Seasonic one instead since i'm gonna be using it for 3~5 years and not worth to scrimp on PSU tongue.gif

i see.. hmm. the ama axe you are holding on is already very decent if you are replacing it. it can run a 460 without an issue
