i havent even OC'd my CPU in like a month and im getting high temps...i have even reapplied new Artic Silver thermal compound on it and i have adjusted the d@mn tubes...any suggestions guys? NOTE:i am 16 and i am what you people on the internet consider a "noob" and this is my first time water cooling ever..so tell me what i did wrong and *****...

your post was a little confusing due to lack of info, but this is what ive gathered

eigther a) you have had your watercooling set up a while and recently its gone to high temps

or b) you JUST set up your watercooling and it is getting higher temps than air.

first of all it would help if we knew what WC loop you have set up.

a plausible thesis for A) would be that your WC loop is clogged, causing lack of water flow, your rad needs cleaning, your fans have failed.

a thesis for B) honestly not 100% sure, so many factors here.

EDIT:

i just noticed that it is the H50 *facepalm* my bad.

What air cooler were you using before? Stock?

maybe you are using too much thermal paste, did you clean off the cpu and plate before applying?

Are those load temps or idle? Also, what kind of case you have, and how much airflow it provides comes into play as well. How do you have your H50 set up; as intake or exhaust?

OK, so airflow may be an issue. What about the H50? Is it set as intake or exhaust? If it is set to exhaust, with a low airflow case, that could be the reason for the higher temps. Also, what are you ambient temps in the room the PC is in?

If it is set to exhaust, you can try redoing the H50 as intake. When you do the thermal paste, a small (little larger than a BB) dab of the AS5 in the center of the CPU should spread perfect when you put the H50 on it.

as exhaust and i have redone it to an intake and it gets higher temps and btw when i put my side panel on i get way more higher temps in mid 60's and i have no top case fans so dont ask about those (cuz i have none) and my room is 70 degrees Fahrenheit

I'm thinking it has to be too much TIM. How did you apply the AS5?

1) Reseat with proper TIM.
2) Verify that your H50 pump is actually getting 12v from the header.
3) Push/pull, or simply using the stock singular fan?

My H50 sucked until I put a thin layer of TIM both on the H50 block itself and the CPU. Seemed to stick together much better.
