Intel GMA 965 X3100 driver problem

Hi,

In a few days i'm goin to recieve a white macbook from 2008. It's still not mine, but I have already started to tinker with it. I installed windows 7 via bootcamp and went ahead and installed the drivers which came with the OS X CD.

The specs are Core 2 Duo 2,4 GHz, 2 GB DDR2 667 RAM, 160GB HDD and Intel GMA 965 X3100.

The GPU is not powerfull at all, but I have tried running some (old) games, and I thought it was going to be bad, but they are actually playable.

COD2 is the only one which stutters a little in big, open scenes, so I tweaked the game and the graphics settings from the Intel CP. But I discovered that there are newer driveres, so I went ahead and installed those.

BUT... Now in the Intel CP it says that I still have the 8.14.10.1930 (OS X drivers), but in the system manager it says that I have 8.15.10.1930 (new drivers). Sooooo, which one do I really have, and should I reinstall??

I'm going to reformat soon, so I im not in a hurry or anything. BTW can I install ONLY Windows 7, without OS X and without using BootCamp?

Thanks!

No need to reinstall. Intel GPU drivers doesn't really help much, at all.

And yes, to the best of my knowledge you need to use bootcamp to install Windows 7.
