Make sure u haveenough!

the makers of your psu should have a chart of the lengths of the wires from your psu

just take that length and multiply it by how many wires are in the bundle and etc.

for example, my 24 pin is 26 inches long. 26 times 24, etc. do the calculations right and add on 10 or 20 more percent. plus fans, etc.

i ordered from here

http://www.supplycaptain.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=19

as shipping with usps priority didnt kill my wallet.

i would feel more confident with 200'.

edit: actually, maybe 150 should be enough. you arent sleevign that much from what you said in your first post.

Your first time sleeving, expect a full psu to take 8 or more hours. Then the case and fans on top of that. You'll learn a lot of nuances along the way, you'll mess up, and you'll want to throw things. it's cool. Just take it as lessons learned.

I advise against heatshrink with adhesive. It's not fun to work with, at all. I've never had an issue with regular shrink moving up and down the wire.

For the cleanest look, 1.5cm of shrink per wire is recommended.

havent ordered the heatshrink yet. i can switch to non adhesive if you think its best for a first time sleeve

I personally prefer non-adhesive as well, but it's a subjective personal choice one way or another. You could order a small amount of each and see what you prefer.

Also with regards to leftover sleeving - you will either love sleeving or absolutly hate it. You will find all kinds of things to start sleeving around the house. A bit shamed to admit it, but I've sleeved a few things

mouse/keyboard - used sleeving that was to big so it would fit over the connector and it didn't look very good
network cables - I have some 30-40 feet of network cable sleeved various colors across a dozen or so connections
power cable - a mod I'm thinking of trying next with a custom wire length and plug
phone / fax cords

you get the idea. You will be sitting there one day and see some random wire and start to wonder how you can sleeve it . . . either that or I'm just a freak heh

Paracord was only $20 with shipping so I'll just up to 8' of both kinds. Ya i was going to try and sleeve my keyboard cable because I have a usb extension taped to the underside of my keyboard for the wireless receiver for the mouse. Functional but not pretty

Should be.

You can also use needle-nose pliers to open the shrink up a bit. Carefully not to apply too much force or it'll snap. Just put the nose in one end, gently stretch it a bit, then reverse the shrink, do the same on that side, do this a couple of times and it'll stretch out. When you heat it, it'll conform back down.
