Somewhat scared for AMD on this one. I feel like they're banking on Bulldozer, but I've heard no rumors that it will even beat the current-gen Intels. I truly hope AMD pulls ahead, or breaks even with Intel's stuff with Bulldozer.

Not a damn thing wrong with my AMD board. I read last night it's AM3+ compatible too. So, we'll see what happens next I suppose.

My thoughts entirely, I have a weird feeling about Bulldozer. The i7-2600K is going to take some beating at its current price point, let alone whatever reaction Intel make (and they will make one I'm sure) to Bulldozer.

Whatever you have up your sleeve AMD, best make it a good one

Recently there have been more announcements from mobo makers related to AM3+ support for current boards (MSI)-- plus some 890FX/AM3+ socket boards (new revisions) have popped up on Newegg in the last couple of days...

http://www.overclock.net/hardware-ne...-am3-here.html (Black socket boards)

http://www.overclock.net/hardware-ne...ty-future.html (MSI support)

so I wouldn't say "we haven't heard anything". However, I see your point. With no 990FX boards released as of yet I would think BD is more likely to launch in May or June.

I wasn't doubting the June rumour either, just making a point.

I agree. Im really hoping amd will smash current performance and give me a reason to sell my sandy and come on back to AMD. This is kinda their moment to make it or break it. Strictly IMO I dont think they would name it a FX if it was not meant to bring the pain. Only time will tell though.

I would so much enjoy buying A SR-2 like motherboard for the 8 core desktop chips. Two 8 core bulldozer chips would be so nice. Also 3 or 4 HD 7XXX series GPU's would make a killer setup. Include 2 of Corsairs new 410MB/SEC SSD's in RAID 0 and we are in for some real fun.
