No no now don't get this thread devolving into flame.
It's every facet. Guys that don't have a lot to spend on the Board will often buy cheaper Intel boards so they can get a solid Intel CPU and then they wonder why that Intel CPU isn't OC'ing to it's potential. There are plenty of dead threads here that attest to that. "What am I doing wrong...
" type of threads where guys went out and bought a $500 CPU and went out and dropped it on an $80 MoBo(or near abouts) and then wonders why they can't get anything out of it.
The board just isn't built to handle it. I was taught a long time ago not to skimp. I tried to skimp with my Keyboard and PSU purchase and it bit me in the ass. At least I got paid for my troubles but with a lot of aggravation in the Rebate and RMA process along the way. If you can't afford it then it's best to save up and make the purchase when you can afford it. Do a lot of reading and keeping up with the tech mags and then make an informed purchase. I've built systems for others, but this was my first top to bottom build with 100% new parts. Nothing was used. An I'm as broke as one can possibly get without living on the streets. I suffer for my art.
