what's up with people on this forum hating HP? I've got 3 HP notebooks over the year and they're still rocking solid. For HP printer, I just refill my ink no need to waste money on new ink cardtridges.

Because most of us either have had a problem with an hp computer or know people who have. So we usually hate on hp and a few other brands as you can almost always get same specced laptops from other brands with better quality for the same price or a little more. Which when you are buying a $600+ laptop I'd want people to have it last well beyond the warranty.

So, it's an M11x, with a 14" screen and an i7 quad? XD

LOL Sager less that stellar? Are you INSANE? They make the best bang for buck laptops on the market atm, and theyre the ones that make the insanely powerful laptops. Just you never really hear them as Sager/Clevo because they get rebranded by other manufactureres.

Sager laptops are brilliant if you want a high performing laptop.

Lol? I work in a tech service, and from all brands we sell (Lenovo, HP, Toshiba, Acer, Samsung, Sony, LG), HPs are the ones with the least important reparations.

This summer (when most lappies come to repair) I remember swapping an Acer motherboard (Aspire 3500 series), a Toshiba screen (satellite A200) (not smashed, it was burnt), a Sammy DVD drive (R350 series), a Dell hard disk (Studio series), and a CCFL inverter from a 5 year old HP.

I love the overall build quality of HP laptops. Their latest dv6, dv7 and dv9 series are really sturdy, and not expensive at all.

Unless your laptop came with magical parts that didnt appear on the technical specs page on the link you gave me then the sager is everything and better for $900. And thats what you challenged me about, a much better laptop for only $100 more.

Plus your research is horrible. If you read their reseller ratings 90% of them are due to costumer service, which I NEVER recommend buying directly from sager. All the reviews are about OLD models, most of them 2+ years old.

Maybe if you took the time to research your laptop and other laptops instead of trying to insult people then you would know that the laptop you bought was no deal and that much better laptops could be bought for the same price or slightly more; like the sager I posted.
That Sager looks nice initially, but the only thing that would keep me at bay is the fact that not only is a 1080p resolution not really needed for a 15.6" display, but that just means that the small gpu is in no way going to make it a "gaming" laptop. I'd prefer a more appropriate resolution and to be able to turn the settings up.

All this aside, the conversation is for a work laptop, he wouldn't notice a difference between the two, so purchase what makes you comfortable, within your budget, and be happy with it! The only reason to even care about dedicated graphics on a work lappy is if you run something like AutoCAD. Which I run off my work lappy with integrated graphics and it still 'suffices'.
