Home network problem

Heya guys!
So recently my POS router decided to make my day.(A TP-LINK TL-R402M.Internet does not work almos at all when i use it.For example i have a PPPoE connection from my ISP through LAN.Internet through the router works with an average of 2kb/s or not at all, with the internet wire plugged in directly to one of my pc's it works like a charm as it should)
So now i ask you guys if you can help me link three pc's(two of them on Windows7 Ultimate Sp1 and one on XP sp2) with LAN cables and a Swich(it's an IP TIME 8port thingy).I want them, if possible to share internet and maybe even be connected through LAN so i can share files between them.Is this possible?
Thankyou in advance,
eXtr3m3.

You will not be able to browse the internet on the other PCs without a router or firewall device to NAT the traffic to the external address. Right now the Modem from the ISP is probably giving you a DHCP public address, meaning your PC is on the Internet directly, which is bad. go buy a cheap router then plug the switch into one of the LAN ports on that.

good luck

way around for very short term, u need 2 NICs on 1 computer, Internet Connection Sharing enabled on that computer. Then connect the other 2 computers via a switch, switch connected to computer with ICS enabled. There are many reason I would not advocate keeping this in place for any length of time but it will allow all systems access.

But yes your gonna need to either buy a router or a firewall.
