Just pure fail is writing "Just pure fail" without actually explaining your reasoning behind it. I make no statements about any certainty of my predictions. You must be making some unintelligent assumptions to quickly judge me like that.

Then as soon as news of a 10 core CPU emerges....there views change
No one's amazed by the amount of cores. We're amazed that intel is simply adding more of the same performing cores. The same can't be said for AMD. The 12 core Opteron does extremely poor compared to even a 6 core Xeon/980X/2600K. AMD's IPC is horrible.

That's why games are frequently bottlenecked on X6 CPUs. More cores won't help if games don't support multi-threading and your single threaded performance is such crap. Why do you think there's so many complaints about SC2/WoW performance with the X6's?

Seeing as Extreme Editions are basically Xeons without ECC, there should be a desktop version as well. So far it's always been like that.

In single threaded stuff... typical fanboy, heard some technical stuff, understands none of it, but goes on beating the drum and swells the chest, cause intel's teh best!

just my 2 cents
