Thread Starter
i want to run 3 460s, 2 in sli and 1 for phys x, are there any psus with 8 6pin pci-e lines??
First of all, you can run 3 way SLI with GTX460. 2 Way is max.

And for that, a quality 750W is more than enough.

You would only need 6 6pin pcie - most high end psu's have that - the Corsair TX950 that I had, had that setup, my HX1000 has 8 8pin... - and to the above poster,

if your running 2 way sli, youre using the 3rd 460 just like any other Phsyx card

Agreed - TX950, and you'll get full use of all its pci connectors!

I ran tri-sli 470's on a TX950, its what I would recommend, or a similar Antec, or Silverstone

Read properly, he's running two in SLi, and an extra one for PhysX.

3x460s........ well 2x460 you want a 600 watt psu....

so 3x i would say 750/800 would be plenty

since i ran 2x480s on a 750watt for 6 months with no dramas

I think people are just confused because OP uses ''3 way sli'' in the title.

Anyway,
Corsair HX850 (US$155) and TX950 (US$140) both have six 6+2-Pin PCIe connectors.
The former has modular design while the latter has more power.
