Us 480 owners united to defeat the evil 570.

Sarcasm aside I agree with the member that said to get watercooling for your 480, not only will it unleash the 480, it will last you through all your builds after the initial investment and offers greater cooling then air.
That thread gave me a chuckle. 480s unite!

Curious, did you get all of those overclocks with the stock 480 cooler?

Glad you liked it!

A couple of my results were on the stock cooler with a Delta 190CFM fan blowing on it lol. Last one was when I made the jump to water hehe.

I don't understand. Did you forget to turn on Ambient Occlusion as well? Otherwise you must be running 2 cards?

Trying to get equivalent results.

How do I even know if my 480 is temperature limited anyways? I can't seem to take it past 800/2000 regardless of voltage,

Lol, Am I

Ran a run for you on mine real quick. I don't know, some of those runs are just crazy good.

But I am running my 920 at 3.8GHz so figured I could be close to what you get. As you can see my clocks are 900MHz for core and 2000MHz for mem. And even after a year I still don't wanna talk about the voltage.

And yea, pretty much why I still have my GTX 480, need more grunt just snag another one. Been wanting to myself, just crap keeps jumping in the way.

Also, I still stand by the saying that once you put Fermi under water, it's another monster all together.

Edit: Oops, DoF was on in the first one. Not really a difference though.

Wish you had run the benchmark with that card. No idea how you can do that with stock voltage.

SLI 465's flashed to 470's (855/3620 @ 1.1V ... and probably about ready to burst into flames at such a high OV/OC but let's not discuss that part I probably could use a side-fan on these bad-boys but I only run these kinda clocks for the occasional bench so ... I prefer my pretty window and the quiet it provides )

BTW, as you can see by my screenie I have no option in the settings screen for HDR or DoF ... what up with that? How did you guys turn off DoF? Edit: I figured it out ... options menu ... duh ...

With AO and DoF

With AO and NO DoF

Overclocking the RAM on Fermi does little or nothing, I just increased it an abitrary amount of left it there because I didn't think the negligible increase in performance warranted the time to test for stability.
