Need advice on my build!!

Thread Starter
Hi guys, its my first time building a rig for myself so i hope that it would be a successful one.it would be used mainly for gaming and i intend to overclock the cpu only(though its my first time doing it as well after doing much research i come up with this build:
i5-2500k + Asus P8P67 Pro
Samsung 1tb f3
Gigabyte Gtx 560 ti SOC
Samsung 22x DVDRW
Coolermaster Hyper 212+
FSP 700W 80+ Gold
2x2GB PC3-12800/1600Mhz G.skill ripjaws-x cl7
IKONIK EN 2 /W-Side Window Case

Anyone has any comments on it or any tweaks to improve it?your help is sincerely appreciated!!

Btw could anyone tell me which ram is better :
http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=351
or
http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=352
i know the diff is cl 6 and cl 7(correct me if im wrong) but does it means the lower the number the better it is?
and which is more suitable if i intend to oc my cpu(probably @4.5ghz from what i have seen)
im really noob at this

Scratch the PSU and get a Corsair TX650..

I've never even heard of that case before, so I can't comment on it. Personally, I'd get a CM Haf 922.

With the Hyper 212, 4.5GHz is more than possible, and to my knowledge, that is where most people clock to. Including myself.

The second ram is slightly better but not much to cry about. lol And the HAF cases are some of the best around. I know Bc i have owned 3 of them.

Good build, but not sure about that PSU, make sure to buy an OS unless your going Linux or unsavory options...I would suggest staying legit.

Unless they're very similar in price you'd be more than fine with the CAS7 kit. Intel setups benefit more from clock frequency rather than tighter timings.

Both the same, but 1600MHz is in reference to frequency
The sets you listed are both 1600MHz, and the difference in timings (CAS) won't make much difference - so whichever is cheaper would be fine.

If it saves you a few bucks sure.
Buying a pre-clocked card is usually a waste of money when you can just OC them yourself.
