New World of Warcraft Podcast: Beyond The Numbers

Thread Starter

Today, I am launching my new Web Series “Beyond The Numbers†where I will explore characters and stories you may be familiar with in an unfamiliar way. The goal of this series to get players to look past the array of numbers in World of Warcraft and appreciate what you may have missed all along – call it a new form of storytelling if you will.

In the first episode, I explore Westfall. I am taking the characters you have familiarized yourself with and re-inventing them. I hope you enjoy!

If you have any suggestions on what zones you would like featured on next week’s episode, feel free to post in this thread or comment on the video. Happy viewing!

I never cared for the stories scattered throughout the game. Leveling was such a chore than I did anything I could to whip through the game. Solid job, though. I'm impressed.

How did you manage to gather all of these details for some NPC chillin' in a lowbie town?

Well, there were bits and pieces that I knew, but for the most part, it's storytelling using characters people are already familiar with.

People were familiar with those characters? Maybe I'm just naive.

I know your direction is towards the more subtle details in the world that people miss, but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to do videos on the bigger players that have shown themselves over the course of WoW.

Essentially moving from way back in vanilla to now:
-Drakkisath, Hakkar, C'thun, Onyxia, Ragnaros, Nefarian, Kel'thuzad
-Malchezaar, Zul'jin, Gruul, Magtheridon, Vashj, Kael'thas, Archimonde, Illidan, Kil'jaeden
-Malygos, Sartharion, Yogg-Saron, Algalon, Anub'arak, Lich King, Halion
-Cho'gall, Sinestra, Al'akir, New Ragnaros?

Not really sure why I typed all that up... it's the late hours getting to me I suppose, but maybe it'll keep you busy.
