6870 Crossfire + 3 monitors?

From what I understand 3 monitors does not work under crossfire, but I've been reading around that the 5xxx series addressed this issue. So I'm wondering if it's possible with the 6 series and how?

Yea it's possible. It always worked, it just didn't support all the same games.

They fixed it in the 6xxx series.

I will say on my setup 1GB of vram is a bottleneck.

I had a pair of 6870's when they first came out, along with my first Eyefinity setup (3 x u2211h monitors). Had no problems setting it up, or having both cards recognized in the games I was playing.

Just remember that not all games support three monitors, and crossfire doesn't work in windowed mode .

The only reason I got rid of the setup was because of the poor air-flow in my case and my cards had to run at close to 100% fan all the time, or over-heat.
