EC1 vs. DA - Page 2

Thread Starter
Eh idk i think if you have a mouse with prediction that is keeping your crosshairs at head level maybe more readily when you want, little things like that can make a difference.

Also you might not notice the benefits of a certain mouse unless you play particular games. Such as if your playing codblops running around hosing people with smgs your not going to see the need for extreme precision that would be required if you were trying to long distance snipe people in bc2.

I remember reading you thread about the wheel and i can tell you the EC1 i had was fine. I think you had a defective mouse.

I will say this the EC1 and EC2 have the best mouse cord ever. Its so spungy and does not get tangled its not braided.

Neither. The IME 3.0 is superior.

Apart from its dodgy scroll wheel and side buttons

Meh, the scroll wheel on the IME is no worse than the scroll wheel on the DA. You have a point about the buttons, while they're still fully useable on the IME 3.0 (if your thumb is long enough/not obese), the DAs are just infinitely better.

But the IME 3.0 weighs less, the front of the mouse is designed better, doesn't have any design problems with the bottom of the mouse and has infinitely lower LOD.

You can fix the DAs LOD by putting some scotch/magic tape over the sensor hole, but that tape will start scratching your mouse pad (cause of the DAs design flaw). You can fix that by doubling up your mouse feet, and then finally your DA will work like it should. But...

I think the IME 3.0 has a better sensor after doing some gaming. I also think it has a bad grip (causes lots of sweat). But this is exactly what I felt when I first got my DA. After more use, it no longer caused hand sweat and while I still thought it had a good sensor (I mean I was coming from a g9...) I wasn't feeling it like I did on the first day of owning it. The same thing will probably happen with my IME 3.0.

Correct.

Better shape, less bulky, lower LOD, and more durable.

DA does have a better sensor that is fact.

Can you claw the IME 3.0? is it ergonomic right handed?

You HAVE to have HUGE hand to claw the 3.0 - for me its just a glove [plam-claw mix grip]

I'd say DeathAdder Black edition- better sensor "without" prediction, and the shape its your choice, but in term of sensor and technical the Deathadder's sensor is better.

Durable? The 3.0 hasn't been considered durable since the original Rev.1 models. The repsawns are a joke in comparison. Cheap feeling, loose side buttons, and same faulty plastic encoder on all original MS mice.

The DA (black edition in my case) still looks and feels brand new after 2 ~ and a half months. I wouldn't be able to say the same thing about the 3.0 which I've used almost exclusively for the past 5 years.

/opinion.
