I believe that works. I used my 32bit key to activate my 64 bit OS. I just used a 64-bit Iso.

I got keys from MSDNA both 32 and 64 bit. For some reason the 64 bit didn't want to activate anymore w/o me calling Microsoft so I just used the 32 bit key instead. I think those keys OEM.

its this one correct?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116752&cm_re=windows_7-_-32-116-752-_-Product

it just comes with the disk and cd-key? so all i need to do is download a windows 7 64-bit iso. burn it on a disk, and format the computer and use the 32 bit key?

Although this is a few days late, I thought it still might be helpful. This will work, but only if one leaves the product key box blank during install, and say you will activate later. If you try putting it in, you end up with some registry flags that pop up later during online validation and block you. Leaving it blank to begin with will allow this to work.

edit: and I believe this is legitimate as long as you are following all eula/ oem rules/ etc..
