This is a parts list I put together about ten months ago:

The rasa kit gives you everything you need except for a kill coil and water.

This is also a good point. Everybody should be making sure the rig in question doesn't have those crazy heatsinks GSkill puts on their ram before talking about the D14.

Given the OP's preferred options, I'd say the Mugen is a good balance of value and performance. Plus, given enough room, you can put 4 fans on the thing.
Would 4 fans be good for the air flow through the fins, though? I mean, I know we're all here to over-do it, but...

Yeah, but what about the quality of the components? I know it's like the pot calling the kettle black since I have an acetal waterblock in that parts list, but those parts were very carefully chosen. Are there any reviews that can vouch for the quality of those kits? I remember Thermaltake trying to do something like this in the past; it was called "Big Water"...

It would be best to post in the water cooling section. MANY people have this kit and I have not seen anyone complain about anything except the tubing. Everything else I have seen is positive. It will cost you less than $200. Also, are you going to be cooling your video card?

Wasn't planning on it. Cost seemed too high when you weigh it against what it takes to run a PC game at max specs these days. Since they're all written for consoles now, it seems sorta pointless to OC/watercool a high-end gpu. On top of that, GPU blocks never seem to dip below $140.

I'm liking those direct-contact heatpipes. Double-fan accommodation is there, too. +1; congratulations.

That Spire cooler is pretty good. Here's a review from last year...

i ran a Ven-X with Push/Pull SFlex 1900 RPM and then GT-AP15 for my old i7 920 at 4.0 with HT with no problems.

My vote's the VenX.

I've seen that review. I wish they had used a mainstream cpu, though. The 980x is an unfair test. It'll make any cooler look bad.
