GTX 295 driver problem

Ok so i bought this evga gtx295 co-op single pcb card like 2 weeks ago, then i have installed the latest drivers (266.58) and while playing crysis 1 or 2 or assassin´s creed brotherhood the screen flashes then i get the "Display driver has stopped working and recovered successfully" message with the NVIDIA Kernel and that stuff, u guys can see my rig at the signature, i got Win7 legit ultimate, service pack 1, every update installed.

Tried reinstalling drivers, using CD ones, using older ones, using beta ones, nothing seems to work. Also tried single-gpu mode and stills happening, tried to change the 8 and 6 pin connectors and haven't worked,i got a single rail of 60A.. I have not tried used the adapters that came with the card, i will try soon, oh and the temps were normal (70-90º on load, cpu never goes over 50º..)...

I dont know what to do now.. any helps?<3 frown.gif

I have been getting the same problem while playing bad company 2 with a BFG gtx295. The game would start then a white screen with only background noise of the game. Not sure what's going on.

Using 258.96 here because those drivers let me fold on all 6 gpu's or game with no problems. Even switches SLI/PhysX modes with no hiccups. My other rig with fermi cards uses newer drivers, but my 295's are picky.

Try using the 260.99 Drivers. I had temp and load problems with 266.58. The older drivers have been fine for me.

Nothing seems to work guys frown.gif any ideas? need gpu-z or evga precision screenshots? ill give anything u need 2 help.

I tried many Nvidia drivers with my GTX 295's and found that the only drivers that worked for folding are the ones that windows update installed.
Uninstall your current drivers and use Driver Sweeper to make sure you have removed all Nvidia graphics files. When you re-boot let windows update install the drivers.

When I first got my 295's I had a heck of a time getting both cores folding. I downloaded and installed about every driver Nvidia has ever made but, after much trial and error, I found that windows drivers worked best.

Seeing as you keep having the same problem with every driver version, I tend to think that it's not a specific driver version problem. It could be that something else within your system is conflicting with the driver.

Whenever a new driver version has been released, whether it be WHQL or Beta, I have always updated at that time. I haven't had any problems with any of the versions, both in games and when folding, except for the latest 270.51 beta (very buggy). Although, the only games I play are BFBC2 and Black Ops.

Actually, a while back, BFBC2 was occasionally freezing during gameplay. It turned out that my WMI repository was corrupt. I became aware of that when viewing the errors in Window's Event Viewer.

Are you running any GPU monitoring software in the background while playing? That can sometimes cause problems.

I'm not that familiar with your motherboard, but I noticed that it has both onboard video and sound. Are you able to disable both of those in the BIOS?

Is the card under warranty? You could contact EVGA, and see what they think might be the problem (power issue, bad card, etc).

Unfortunately, there's not one simple solution for this particular error. I hope you get it sorted out soon.
