Why? Because it's worth it to me. Maybe not to you, but to me it is. Again, if the PS3/XBOX/whatever isn't personally attacking you, why is it such a problem? So much rage nowadays.

I just think these "console-haters" need either a life or a girlfriend, because dammit, who cares about consoles vs. PC when you got love?
Totally agree about the love bit.

But sometimes..

Well said.

I had the opportunity to upgrade my PC, but instead I chose to buy a PS3 because it's a console that I had rarely experienced and I purchased it for one main reason; to play their exclusive games. Damn they're awesome.

Neither of you gave an example as to why your HTPC, streaming movies directly from your NAS is not better than a PS3 that can't even play MKV files..

Now for exclusive games.. sure. That's why I bought my PS3 back in 2007.

single mom, with a kid, and has a decent job= has computer, and internet + all the free games available on the computer for him to play. No need for console.

I think you were more aiming for the

Poor=Console

which is both correct, and incorrect.

Track, I totally agree with you on most of what you say.
I personally do not believe in that hippie crap with creationism and I also believe that
why some still believe in it has mostly to do with their arrogance (ie. refuse to accept that they're wrong etc). What I am trying to point out is that we can not now, nor will we probably ever be able to actually prove that god, as the spirit they say he should be exists. And while I also believe that the belif in something supernatural should end at about the same time we stop beliving in santa claus and ghosts.
BUT, proof is when something is so obvious that it simply can't be turned down, no matter how arrogant you are (apart from possibly fanatics), when there's nothing noone can say or do to actually 'prove' it wrong. That's when something's proved. We have proved alot of things, but we have yet to prove that spirits does or does not exist, that there are aliens or not, that unicorns actually exist on another planet - I know that those arguements can be used to protect basically anything; I am just saying that we can't say that we 'proved' it wrong.

Like I heard someone say a few years ago when I asked "if god created man 6000 years ago, then from where comes the dinosaur bones?" and she answered:
"god put them there" - while this sounds completely insane to any sensible person it is completely possible (considering all of the insanity presented by those people) and we can't say that it's not the case.

After writing all this I am questioning myself; 'why am I protecting madness?'
