I personally do not believe in that hippie crap with creationism and I also believe that
why some still believe in it has mostly to do with their arrogance (ie. refuse to accept that they're wrong etc). What I am trying to point out is that we can not now, nor will we probably ever be able to actually prove that god, as the spirit they say he should be exists. And while I also believe that the belif in something supernatural should end at about the same time we stop beliving in santa claus and ghosts.
BUT, proof is when something is so obvious that it simply can't be turned down, no matter how arrogant you are (apart from possibly fanatics), when there's nothing noone can say or do to actually 'prove' it wrong. That's when something's proved. We have proved alot of things, but we have yet to prove that spirits does or does not exist, that there are aliens or not, that unicorns actually exist on another planet - I know that those arguements can be used to protect basically anything; I am just saying that we can't say that we 'proved' it wrong.

Like I heard someone say a few years ago when I asked "if god created man 6000 years ago, then from where comes the dinosaur bones?" and she answered:
"god put them there" - while this sounds completely insane to any sensible person it is completely possible (considering all of the insanity presented by those people) and we can't say that it's not the case.

After writing all this I am questioning myself; 'why am I protecting madness?'
I understand where you're coming from:

You're trying to understand how come people still believe things that are obviously false.

Well.. they ARE fanatics, as you say.

There is no difference between Santa and Jesus, or God. But society allows people to believe in the latter without being mocked for it.

This is how science works:

If you can't explain something to be true, there is no need to explain that it isn't.. because you must already assume that it is not true.

So, saying "You can't prove that God doesn't exist" has absolutely no merit. Of course you can't prove a negative - you're not supposed to.

If I was content wth console gaming I could buy an xbox for 300 and a dirt cheap pc to run Linux for Internet browsing I would have come out cheaper.

Of course that's assuming I did nothing but gaming and Internet browsing. If you need a pc for more intensive tasks then it is not much of a budget stretch to add a nice graphics card for gaming. Even a single 6870 runs everything at max with tolerable performance.

Unless you get all your stuff from iTunes and Netflix, I just don't see how someone can have a 300$ PC.

I mean, how are you going to transfer stuff from your PC to your iPhone/iPad/Xbox/PS3, etc.

I think you were more aiming for the

Poor=Console

That's so asinine that even an agnostic would embrace God as fact before believing that nonsense. Most people I know own more than one console and PC's (minus gaming capabilities on it) and don't live in trailers, one room apartments, or shanties.

Besides....do you not see the hypocrisy in your former statement?
People with money have computers + internet + ALL THE FREE games available on the PC and the poor is limited to consoles, leaving the assumption that those with consoles don't have enough funds for internet which leaves the likelihood that their gaming needs are met through legitimate means??'

Anyway, if being poor means owning three xbox 360's, two PS3's, two PC's (one a gaming rig), one laptop and so on with internet and actually paying for my games for each and every one of them.....

Being poor has changed indeed.....and it feels pretty damn good.

notice the part where it said it was both correct, and incorrect. I was refering to the guy who said that single mom with a kid could only afford a console.

So much for reading.

Also, the fact that you assume that Free games means piracy is also a retarded response, there are tons of free to play MMO, FPS, and other types of games that require no cost to play. You ignorance borders on being mentally handicapped.

Take a hike and get trapped under a boulder please.

Well, one can only interpret as well as the writer allows jack ass.

Anyway, you're a schmuck and I should have known better than to engage any interaction with you as your age is telling among all of your posts.

Gotta love internet interactions...the things we get away with from the comfort of our own homes......safely.
