Now I've got VCore at 1.41V just a tad higher than Intel's absolute max, so I thought I'd pursue cooling options more and see if I can get things stable at 1.4V or under that way. I think 4.2GHz is the max I'll achieve within this absolute limit.
Temps? And PSU? If the temps aren't all that bad, I'd suggest maybe getting a better PSU.

We are talking about electrical resistance and electrical conductance. we are also dealing with semiconductors which are really terrible because they don't follow the laws that guard metals.

Thread Starter
Prime95 blend temps near 80 C at 100% load, 8 threads, in ambient 22 C room. Again Core i7 860 (HTT on) at 4.2 GHz, Vcore =1.41V, VTT=1.39V, VDIMM=1.7V.

PSU=Corsair HX650 Professional Series...best $$ spent on the box yet, and a very good replacement for that XION PSU POS that came in my box!

cant wait till we have hyperconductive transistors at room temp
