I wish I could agree, but I can't. The internet is a vastly different place than it was in dial-up and early broadband days and when the Pentium III and it's SSE were advertised as "the internet multimedia chip". Flash and all the advertisements and such just drag those things down, and least in my experience.
I've tried using one recently for a few days while my signature PC was apart for cleaning, and it got so unbearable by the second day that I dragged out a Pentium 4 PC to use for the remainder of the duration, even though it'd only be one more day I'd have had to put up with it.
I love the Pentium III, but it just didn't cut it. Stuff had a slight pause/lag right after loading a page, and it was just jerky and laggy and slow all around. Sure, it still works. I could feel it was burdened and that even the internet taxed it though.
I'm not super fan boy but, i like AMD cause intel started pulling all this multiple socket crap, hell lynfield has been left in the dust already or at least it seems that way, so for intel i'm a 775 fan boy.
