Same here. Shame people seem to forget all the good stuff governments do because of a few bad decisions they make.

Hope i'm not being too political here.

Of course, since Verizon is the ONLY worthwhile ISP in the United States.. I guess I'll probably have to switch countries too.

I'm thinking England or something less gay.
Have fun in England, if I remember correctly playing a radio in a place of business requires a fee to be legal. Also truck drivers cannot listen to the radio because they "are in a place of work". sigh...

Well, heck, man.. where else should I go - Ohio?

I think we can both agree that's not going to happen.

Only applies in retail spaces. It's fine in offices/trucks/workrooms. Maybe you're getting it confused with smoking.

It's illegal to smoke at work, even if you're a taxi driver in your own personal car and with no passengers. You can't smoke in it because you're working. I imagine it's the same for truck drivers though.

Having to own a license to watch TV always amused me.

Yeah it's crazy. But at least it means no adverts on BBC channels.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but i think if you own a TV license you can legally download any BBC programme.

I use charter. We pay for 12Mbps/1Mbps internet. We get up to 29Mbps/1.2Mbps. And no data caps. Just plain awesome

Huh?

Verizon around me sucks next to Comcast. (although I do live in Philadelphia which is CC global headquarters) My neighbors get a 5MB/s slower download speed and it is another $30 a month after the trial period ends. A lot of them switched to FIOS when it hit our area and now almost everyone I know has gone back since the 1 year trial is up. On top of that, the TV programming is just a highly-compressed version of the Dish Network pumped in over a wire instead of having an antenna on the side of your house. Comcast used to be really compressed like that, but ever since the DTV crossover the HD stations have gone back to low-compression it seems like. And the 3D programming on CC is freaking amazing. I can't wait until they have more stations so I can have a better reason to get it.
