Problems with the U2410 and firware specifications

Thread Starter
Hi, I am about to pull the trigger on the Dell U2410 but I would like to ask if there are still any tinting and color variation issues with the latest U2410 units? I asked dell if there were any changes in the AO6 but they said that the firmware versions depend on the retail shops I buy them at and currently it is still A02, either the fellow entertaining me was simply an idiot (ive noticed that most of dells employees really are) or dell doesn't have uniformed devices. I also noticed in forums such as hardforums and here at overclock.net that a lot of people are returning their Dell U2410's because of defects. Im a bit hesitant about finalizing my order and would really appreciate some guidance. Im going to be using my monitor for graphic design, animation, editing videos and gaming. Should I go for he ZR24W instead since it seems more reliable and users dont seem to find any defects with it? When it comes to color rendering and coverage the U2410 is better but what about color accuracy? I really need help guys.

I have a U2410 A01 version, and I can't really notice any tinting or color variation at all. Granted I am not a graphihc designer but I don't really think it is a so large problem.

I'd get the Dell over the HP anyday, most people are content with the U2410 .

Go ZR24W.

Seriously.

Dealing with Dell sucks. I got a U2410 and it had a bright pixel, so they sent me a new one. The new one has FOUR dead pixels... Nice huh.
