14" 1080p? YES!!! Dream come true. now if only it was a RGBLED 1080p screen

After using the RGBLED screen on my SXPS16, I don't think I can go back to WLED lit screens :\\

Why haven't there been new drivers for my 5870 crossfire!? That ticks me off SOO bad spending $3500 on a laptop and no new drivers since september? REALLY?

But then it looks worse then a standard 1366x768 mointor. LCDs should only be ran at their native resolution. Unless you really like the blur.

1440x900 is a perfectly adequate res for 12-14" imo. This would suffice.

My x200s has this and I'm very sad the latest generation do not.

I'm hoping for the M11x to drop in price on the i5, or I'll pick a C2D model for $600 or less.

That's besides the point. If they wanted to limit the laptop to that resolution because of the GPU they should have used a smaller screen. At 14" the bare minimum that's comfortable to look at is 1440x900.

Not to mention, 1366x768 is a royal pain to work with these days with how much space toolbars and sidebars and everything takes up. It's ok to deal with it on a netbook, because you know you're giving up some comfort for portability. But on a 14" laptop? I don't think so.

Most likely this move was just Dell picking the cheapest screen possible as their base so they could advertise a lower price, and then offering the 1080p screen at extra cost already knowing most people will upgrade to it because the alternative is crap.

Care to attempt that again? Or...?
Care to read what I wrote again? Alienware=/= Falcon NW.
As half my post was about Falcon NW and the other half about alienware and the m14x. Like I said before Falcon NW just assembles a clevo based laptop and sells it under their name, they DO NOT make drivers.

Yes, yes they do...We all do.

It's not a process of MAKING the actual driver, it's editing it and putting a mobile tag + certain restrictions under that tag.

It's in no way THAT hard and from what 3/4 of my interns tell me THAT HAVE THE TLX//DRX...They do their own flavor of drivers.

Perhaps they get them from someone @Guru, not really my business BUT, custom drivers for their platforms ARE in existance and readily available.
