Macbook Trade-in

Thread Starter
I am wondering if anyone knows if I can trade in my 2010 macbook pro (15" i7 - that one) for the new 2011 if I am willing to fork out some cash? The apple website doesn't really talk about a trade in program, and you cannot easily have an online chat with apple, like you can dell or most other manufacturers. I just want to know if I can take my macbook to the apple store, maybe give them like $500 or something and get the new quad i7 MB?

Best buy sells macbooks and has a decent trade in program. Might want to check and see if they would give you the amount you want for it!

IMO youd be better off trying to sell it to someone on here. Not a huge market for macs but youd get more money. trade in programs suck!

I just ran through the Best Buy Trade in estimator and I would get $776. Bummer. Yeah I thought about selling it on craigslist but I just hate dealing with people's BS on there. Might give it a go anyways. Still got to get my IPS monitor so it will have to wait for another day. My MacBook is still pretty damn powerful

I would NEVER deal on craigslist. People don't care how much the item is worth, they want it CHEAPCHEAPCHEAP. On here you will get the truest market value. If you sell it on EBAY you can get slightly more but I trust people on here over EBAY any day. I'm assuming you're looking to get around $1000? At $776 I'd buy it and I'm pretty low on cash ATM :O

Craigslist usually gets me paid well, just a lot of hassle meeting people and looking out for scams or bouncing checks. I want at least $1500. Its an i7 2.65ghz - 3.33ghz turbo boost, 4gb ram, 512 320GT
