multiplier and LLC

Thread Starter
hi,
I managed to get my e7500 to 3.8ghz (9.5X400) at 1.4 (after vdroop 1.37)..

my doubt is-
1) is a multiplier like 9.5 ok? or is it better with 9 or 10?
2) should i enable load line calibration? because i really have to ramp up the vcore to get it stable at 3.9....(it's pretty scary!)

when LLC is enabled in my mobo...the vcore drops a bit and does not increase..

its a GIGABYTE EP45T-UD3LR.

what do you guys think?

Enable LLC. You should disable it if you're going to crank the volts up high as it could feed the chip a bit too much voltage under load.

Your voltage is fine, enabling load line calibration will reduce the amount the CPU droops on load, which in turn should make the OC more stable at lower voltages (in theory)

Hence I would say LLC on, and so long as you're stable, I don't see why a 9.5 multi should be a problem, though of course if you do manage to reduce your voltage with LLC... why not flick it up to 10 and look at 4GHz?
