am i on the wrong forum?? Is this not OCN? I thought "maxing" was 60FPS and higher 24/7?

Or is WoW on a different standard, because 3 years ago for Crysis, running below 30 FPS was definitely not "maxing out"

Lastly, no Shadows or Clutter also doesn't count as "maxing out"

Maxing out would be something like this

And i can't even "max out" in Org or 25m Raids.

Anyway OP, my notebooks from the XPS M1530, XPS 16, to my current Envy 15, i can run wow decently avging about 40 FPS without shadows and low clutter, but still playable.

Only the M1530 with its T8300 and 8600GT struggles now since the launch of Cata, with random FPS Drops because of the CPU throttling.

I've always understood "Maxing" to mean all settings at their highest, with playable fps (which of course is subjective, some people, like myself, find 30 to be playable. Others feel anything under 60 is not.)

I'm definitely okay with 30FPS. I have everything on my current laptop disabled & the game is practically unplayable. I don't want that. I think I'll be lowering my expectations because I really want to play this when my wife is using the main computer. Unless I can talk her into raising the budget. That's a slippery slope. Haha.
