Left out inbetween was obviously my point...

This is getting beyond rediculous.

correct me if i'm wrong *dodges deluge of NVIDIA responses* but don't the 69xx series handle higher resolutions and AA better than the 5xx series?

Not in all benchmarks btw, only where 3 monitors are utilized is where the AMD shines. There are many games where it varies.

Well, sure. You are comparing 2GB ATI cards vs 1GB nVidia cards. I'd be curious to see a Gigabyte 560 SOC 2GB version. If the 1GB vs 2GB scaled like the 6950, the 560 2GB would be quite a card. Unfortunately, I think there's only 1 company making a 560 2GB and I dont think it was made well.

2560x1600 + high AA/AF is asking too much from a 1GB card. The 6950 1GB does not benchmark as well against the 560 at those resolutions and settings, compared to the 6950 2GB.

how about backing it up with facts? i would say that a stock 6950 is not the better deal here.

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/M...zr_III/23.html

@1280x1024 the stock 560 is 7% faster than the stock 6950, and is $50+ cheaper.
@1680x1050 the 560 is 2% faster than the stock 6950, and is cheaper
@1920x1200 the 560 is 2% slower than the stock 6950, and is still cheaper

where i am from if it costs less and gives you the same performance, then that is a better deal

WHOA. SLOWER BY 2%?!?!?!?!? AMD WINS THE GPU WAR. IT'S OVER GUYS.

EDIT: Slower by 5% compared to the twin frozr III which is priced 50$ higher than the TFII 560ti

seriously, at that point it's within margin of error.

Let's make it clear: THEY ARE BOTH GREAT CARDS. GET EITHER ONE.

Doesn't it?

Looks the same to me.

AT tells a similar story

1 benchmark? I don't even know what they are using to get those numbers. Maybe look at game performance? And I'm talking more than a single test that you will cherry pick to show no difference.
