Is my card dead?

Thread Starter
So I left earlier, and shut my system down. Now, SP1 was downloaded and waiting to install, so not sure if this is relevant. I assume that as I shut down, the download were installing themselves - however I was out the flat.

I come home, switch on, and nothing. Well, the computer boots fine, I can hear it all whirling away, the LEDs flash on my mouse showing it's at least booted the mouse drivers etc. There's just no display.

Steps I took:

Changed output on the card
Rebooted
Cleared CMOS
Reseated card
Checked wires
Tried different cables
Tried different Monitor

Eventually I just put my old GTX260 in and it worked fine.

Do you think it's dead? I was thinking about booting up with the GTX in and driver sweeping and reinstalling the right drivers, but I thought it was pointless, because if the card is not even displaying the BIOS or outputting a signal at all (Monitors said No Signal)...

I do have a dodgy PSU at the minute, infact I'm using 2. But I've had it like this for months, and I've ran 12 hour marathons of a highly graphically modded oblivion several times and it's been fine.

I understand the Ref 4870x2 has diagnosis lights, but none light up anyway.

If SP1 installation was interrupted, it sound more like a driver problem. Although you cannot even get to the BIOS with the card, try to uninstall your ATI drivers by using the GTX260 and then put the ATI card back in and see what happens.
