I havent touch an i7 but i have saw the slowmotioned games played on a i5 Acer! And then again on my Amd rig my brother plays with 6 Lineage2 boxes the same time, and the same Acer mobile Pc with this Famous i5 Crashes when we try to open more than a 3 instances of L2?Also i played Crysis2 on the both machines and the performance and the picture quality was better on the Amd Rig!The rig in the signature,i dont remember the exact model of the Acer but it was neck to neck to mines param..........

Sounds like excuses to me.

Had you actually read my thread on my phenomx6 you would know that I fought tooth and nail trying to convince balla and others that it was not my phenom that was the problem. Go ahead before saying stupid things read my thread dude.

You're only pointing out the truth in your situation and you're coming off very arrogant and annoying in doing so.

I did read your thread and I already gave you a rep for proving me wrong on your ownership so I don't know what you're going off about there.

Get outta here with ur garbage i3. Phenomx6 will blow that away so your not even in this convo with any experience in either.

Haha, oh wow. You're no better it seems. If you couldn't tell that was a joke, I don't know what to say. You take CPUs a little too seriously, I think.

I sure hope a $230 hex core can best a $110 dual core(In GTA4 and BC2).

As for "Damn Smooth" I honestly have no preference between Intel and AMD. I had a 2500k and took it back to hold off for a bit to see what BD brings. With that money I got this i3 and board to screw around with.

I don't have any flags.

My apologies brother. Really have a bad habit of doing that. That was aimed at horseman. But either way we are all performance guys Ill try and lighten up on the attitude. Unless one is deserved.

However, now Intel has learned from their past mistakes, they are extremely active and are investing a large amount of money in research. AMD has a much lower budget and already is one generation behind.

As you see the circumstances are different, and so would be the results.

It's clear that Intel has more money to invest in research than AMD but it seems that AMD is aiming at the mid-range market and that would be socket 1155. As you mentioned we don't have any benchmarks neither does Intel. Until Q4 of this year AMD may take over the mid-range market once again until Ivy Bridge for socket 1155 matches AMD.

Just like JF-AMD said
Want a processor 2X faster than Intel? We could do that. You couldn't afford it.

AMD is aiming for the mid-range market and server market. Along with the mobile which are the biggest markets.

Also ARM processors will be released for desktop, Windows 8 supports ARM instructions.

This quote is flawed in so many ways... no one but an AMD fanboy would write this.

A. i5s are superior to AMD x2 and x4 in every way... The problem you described is probably a software issue.
B. Picture quality depends solely on GPU not CPU.
C. The performance of an i5 is superior by far compared to any AMD x2 or x4 CPU, look at any review site.

That quote is fundamentally wrong. The purpose of a corporation is to profit. If it can produce the fastest CPU in the galaxy only to find that no one would buy it, the making of that CPU would be irrelevant. The whole point is to bring a lot of performance at a great price, similar to what the i7 920 did 2 years ago, and what the i5 2500k is doing now, if AMD can't play that game, it should expect losing more market share to Intel in the coming year.

But on another note, I recently read several of the reviews of the new AMD processors in the netbook segment and they were very impressive. But I'm not declaring anything about Bulldozer, because I have not seen benchmarks, and I prefer not to make unfounded claims.

I think that's excellent, three-way competition is much better than two way, and will lead to more innovation. And trust me, I have nothing against AMD... actually I would much rather see them thrive than decline... but the OP asked a simple question... and the answer would have been; yes, the i7 2600k is much better than the 1055T and so the upgrade would be logical. Instead of getting that straightforward answer, this resulted in a 15+ page thread ending in a discussion between how Bulldozer will be and how much Intel sucks.

But I guess it's not all that significant, though personally I dislike HT as it does nothing for me personally. I'd hate to buy a bulldozer chip and be forced into its big brother.
