I sure hope a $230 hex core can best a $110 dual core(In GTA4 and BC2).

As for "Damn Smooth" I honestly have no preference between Intel and AMD. I had a 2500k and took it back to hold off for a bit to see what BD brings. With that money I got this i3 and board to screw around with.

I don't have any flags.

my bad. doh.gif

It seems like all you need to do is title your thread SB vs [anything] and Balla / Dimmagio come running.

Pietro made the most sense in this thread, Fortune tellers! lol

Without HT, the extra cache helps the 2600k pull ahead.

HT is only useful for dual cores right now. Which is why the 2100 is locked down.

You keep slamming Bulldozer even though you know absolutely nothing about it, why is that? What if it absolutely demolishes sandy? Some of us think it's worth the wait to find out.

My apologies then, looks like were in the same waiting boat.

I'm here because without me it would be a one sided story titled "wait for bulldozer".

I know it doesn't mean too much, but searching hwbot I found a 6-core 1055T @ 4.1GHz getting ~20,500 in 3DMark Vantage's CPU score. A stock 2600K @ 3.4GHz got ~23,000. At 5.35GHz I personally got 35,700.

Pretty sure I know enough.

I'm not "slamming" it either. I'm sharing an opinion I've formed based on its design and the information JF-AMD has provided. Anytime you split a cores resources you lose performance. AMD (IN MY OPINION) is designing a cpu that is intended for server performance. As they won't release any specs on it other than the throughput performance compared to mangy.

The problem is that unless you have some insider information, nobody knows enough.

If you do have that info, quit trolling and give it to us.
