I'm telling you it doesn't matter how clockable 4BD cores will be if SB is capable of maxing out my GPUs than it could be 100034324324 times faster and it wouldn't matter one bit to me.
suddenly it does not matter how much cores are oveclockable.. okay good luck with your logic..

My logic is as I've stated before and as I've stated to others and as I've acted on myself...

You only need as much cpu power as is required to push your gpus.

Take care now ya hear?

Thread Starter
Woah, I just came back from tennis, And I can't belive This thread is still active lol. I mean, Last time I made some ati vs nvidia Question ppl started to flare and the post got blocked or/and erased. I don't want a war here. I just want answeres. I do game in my PC, But The mainly reason I want to upgrade is, One, I will have some extra cash coming soon and I want to get my PC future Proof. Second, I do Encode, Render and Do some 3D sculps, Edit videos and all that stuff and Usage CPU a lot. So I need/want to know what would be the better option for future proof and the things I do today. I don't mind Waiting for BD. Infact I think I'll just wait. Since I can get more cash to buy a better MoBo then the one I currently can afford. I think I'll go with the 2600k if the BD does not beat it. And get a ivy compatible MoBo to upgrade later, SINCE I USE CPU A LOT lol. So yea.. If not, BD will be. I'm nto a fan boy, I just want and get what I need.
Btw, I love XFX and Asus only I'm fan boy of Asus and XFX <3

Smart choice man, you wouldn't want to regret your decision later and if BD doesn't pan out, Sandy will still be there.

Yeah, that is a pretty ridiculous statement, I must admit. What about avid 3ds Max users?
3ds Max 2010 could run on an awful, awful graphics card worth nothing but the materials it is made of - only there to send a display signal to the monitor for your editing and rendering pleasure. The CPU is then the beast that does ALL the work. Remember, not everyone JUST plays games on a PC.

Here is how it is from both ends:

AMD guys-Wait for bulldozer its gonna be manna from heaven.

Intel users-Why wait for performance you can have now?

That is the sum of it.

Personally I went with Intel for now cause I don't feel I should have to wait to use 100% of my GPU's.

Why wait for performance when you can have it now?
Why NOT wait when there's a chance it could be better?
