is nvidia desktop color settings same as windows color management?

Thread Starter
I realized that nvidia forceware desktop color settings conflict with the profile in windows color management; usually a standard color profile or the monitor's profile. I found the way to fix it is by removing the default windows profile and depending only on nvidia to handle the color settings. I don't know why colors have to be adjusted at a software level when they can be adjusted in monitor's osd menu.

They don't have to be. Instead, it's up to each user.
