Either way we're not selling GTX590 in North America, so all this is a moot point.
Ok, I'm not trying to get you into trouble. I'm just confused on what this statement means:

Meaning:

If you want to do a custom thermal design you have to get the approval of the respective company, and the standards for it are higher.

Every product planned out needs to be thought of on a macro scale. Would it make sense to offer a great product? Sure! Would it make sense to offer a great product that you can't get returns on (given your investment)? That is a whole 'nother story.

Your question is asking product features on a limited scale... if I were to directly answer your question, I would say from a planning perspective, NO it makes no sense to make a custom PCB card for the dual GPU flagship products considering the engineering costs (just look at the ASUS ARES for proof: that sucker costs $1200) and the limited TAM. It's a very, VERY niche market, sort of like Ferrari Enzo territory.

Will we do it? I don't know nor will I speculate.

Alex, just a quick question about the 6970 Lightning. Can you confirm the length of this card? I have seen some conflicting information in at least one of the few reviews for this card. The MSI site lists it as 310mm and I have seen that confirmed by one review. However, another reviewer listed it at 298mm.

Thanks in advance.

So, MSIalex, I know this is a bit off topic, but do you know anything about MSI's line of motherboards? We've been having some problems with the new P67 boards.

Alex... Im GONNA BUY ONE OF THESE,

MSI GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) N570GTX Twin Frozr II OC Video Card

or the

MSI Radeon HD 6970 R6970 Lightning Video Card

I realize you probably are hesitant to respond so how about this, Does EA/Dice have a favorite video platform.. my guess is Nvidia.

While posting this, I have been looking around and decided on the Lightning... gotta love the confusing nature of card manufacturers

Could you please let me know about the GTX 570 TFIII (lightning?) that is up on newegg? Does this have a non-reference PCB with better VRMs? More power phases?

Would greatly appreciate your response. I cant find info about this card anywhere but newegg and they dont have pictures.
