Congrats Intangible on everything being safe and sound! What I find funny is that before reading this thread I was just thinking to myself "Why would anyone ever use barbs and not use a wiretie or hoseclamp over them. Then I read this thread lol. I'm really happy that you aren't out all of that cash though man, seriously.

Also it's interesting that the main reason why it seems that people don't use any wiretie's or hoseclamps are because of the "Look" that they are going for with their system. Frankly I think that's pretty stupid considering you could be costing yourself $1k's of dollars for that. Sounds like a costly look to me. I hope that doesn't offend anyone, but just evaluate the risk/reward better imo.

There's really no way that the water could damage any parts. It doesn't have any ions in it that could carry a charge freely, so it couldn't short out...
