Well rooting the device was a huge breakthrough. Seriously, no one realizes how lucky droid x users are that we somehow exploited a workaround to gain root. It was looking like the x wouldn't be able to have custom roms (and even now, roms still have the same crap kernel as the official sbf).
The whole idea behind an encrypted bootloader is to prevent root access. And from what I hear, eFuse is unbreakable. This is the technology that all phones are moving towards, regardless of what marketing trash they spew about being friendly to developers. Don't sell those Droids or Nexus Ones just yet...
