Where are the new WHQL drivers nvidia? - Page 4

Keep trying different drivers, 267.51/267.84/267.85 were essentially a huge boost in performance in many titles like DA2 for me. Crysis 2 played perfectly on 267.85/267.91 for me, so you may give them a try.

I don't have numbers but 270.51 feels much slower to me, yet the FPS counter is the same, and I am not experiencing microstutter.

WHQL isn't going to make much, if ANY, difference between nVidia's Public preview release, then when Microsoft gets done with it. Its just a way to verify the driver works, the cards work, logs don't report errors, and that it doesn't harm the operating system in any way. If they do catch a bug, it gets sent back, they fix it, and then resubmit it. Could take days, weeks, or months to get a qualified driver. In my opinion, it is silly to wait for "only WHQL certified" drivers. We survived decades before it came a long.

I give this as an alternative, but since you don't like betas, you probably won't try custom modified/tweaked drivers, but here is the link anyway.

In relation to the competition:
ATI have improved their drivers significantly improved over the last 5 months, before that though, every other release broke things for me since the 5870 release date. There are still people trapped on driver set 10.5 or 10.9/a/b/c because they get BSOD on other drivers. I will never own another of their products again. Worst experience ever had with a product. However, the 68xx/69xx launch has been much smoother for people.

Crysis 2 with the 270 drivers gives me a strobe light effect. The only noticeable performance increase I have seen is with DA2
