Lordikon isn't talking about devs not putting in extra effort, he's talking about idiots who are so tech nerdy they would pass on a game b/c it doesn't have Dx 11. He's talking about the obsessive-compulsive tech nerds that have to compare every pebble on the ground on a screenshot and get all melodramatic when there are differences so insignificant that you wouldn't notice them when playing the game at full speed.
At least, that's how I interpreted his statement.

You want the honest answer? Just like there are Intel & AMD fanboys or Nvidia & AMD fanboys, there are PC fanboys. I call them PC-elitists and they love to label themselves as more mature and superior and use every chance they have to label the average console player as an ADD-having 13 yr old but the reality is PC players are just as immature, if not more. For every 1 13yr old talking on his mic on the console, we have 10 racists yelling any racial comment they can b/c they think it makes them look cool and edgy.
Most people that I see crying about PC gaming dying are in their early 20s or younger. PC gaming is bigger than its ever been. Yeah, we have less exclusives but at the same time we get more A-list titles than ever before.
The ONLY genre of PC gaming that has a right to ***** is the RTS/Turnbased Sim market. I miss THOSE games, inventive games like Fallout, X-Com, Syndicate, Blizzard games when they used to come out more than once a decade, etc.Edited by FuNkDrSpOt - 4/16/11 at 2:35am
