4850 Running 2.7gb instead of 1gb?

Thread Starter
I have an XFX Radeon 4850 running on my comp. The motherboard I bought came with an integrated graphics unit, but I disabled it in the BIOS (the IGX would've drawn it's RAM from system RAM) but all of my 3rd-party detection software states that it is running with 2.7gb?

Problem with the hardware or the software?

They use system RAM as part of the frame buffer, similar to what integrated ones do.
