Alright so once I get the $'s together I am considering getting this card here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121437&cm_re=6950-_-14-121-437-_-Product
I, however, have not been able to find any actual reviews for it though. Does anyone have this card or is anyone getting this card?
Also if you have wha you feel is a better suggestion please leave a comment. I'm looking for a 6950 that has good stock cooling.
Thanks

That thing is a beast!!! Asus is probably the best company for Ati cards because of their support for rma's. I think that would be your best bet for a 6950. Heres a review from guru3D http://www.geeks3d.com/20110202/tested-asus-radeon-hd-6950-directcu-ii-review-overclocking/

Nono it's a 1GB version!!!Why would u pay that much for a 1GB when u can pay just a little more for the 2GB and it's totally worth it. Get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127575&Tpk=twin%20frozr%20iii. It's only $30 more upfront or $15 after rebate and it's one of the best 2GB version out there. The Twin Frozr III cooler does a great job and it does have the bios switch for unlocking to 6970 too. The Direct-CU II from Asus is a pretty good card but it doesn't have bios switch, also only the 2GB 6950 can be unlocked.

Why is it totally worth it? The extra vRAM is only really useful in large-res scenarios or in games that have huge texture mods (Crysis, Fallout 3, HL2 Cin10, etc.).

At that price I would get this because it's more likely to unlock, or even this because it's much cheaper.

Thanks for the feedback! I would deffinetly through down the extra dough for another GB of memory but in all of the benchmarks and reviews I've looked at (a lot) most conclude the 1 GB versions out preform the 2 GB version. Any ideas? Ocnewb what games you play on your 6950s?

This is only $235 after rebates and it's 2GB. =)

Yeah that looks good thanks. Another question is the price difference in anyone's opinion, between a 5850 and a 6950 worth it?
