With the P4 you're not going to be having 99% GPU usage unless you're rolling with, like, a 6600GT(or earlier). And in that case, you wouldn't receive a 'MASSIVE' FPS boost by switching to a Q9650.

Again, not what this thread is about. Your 8800GTs werent getting capped usage with the older CPU. Which is why you saw such a big increase when you upgraded. Thats a CPU bottleneck, and irrelevant to this thread.Edited by Celeras - 4/6/11 at 10:47pm
