EVGA puts my RMA on hold.

Thread Starter
Evga has recently put my RMA on hold for my E758 motherboard due to damage on the PCB. I've RMA'd the board 4 times previously.

I've seen the pictures MikeF sent me and there are 2 things that bother me.

1. Scratches in the third pic
2. The big chunk in the motherboard

I told Mike that I acknowledge the scratches in the first and second pic because that was a result of me trying to remove the H70 backplate (it was stuck on there and required some force to get it off)

However for the third picture. I've never messed with that area of the motherboard nor was it scratched before I sent it, as well as the big chunk near where I removed the backplate. I checked the board before I sent it out and I'm sure there wasn't a huge ******* chunk there.

So my conclusion is that either my board got further damaged in transit (which I highly doubt because it was very securely packaged)

Or that EVGA further damaged it in order to warrant a full replacement fee from me.

They want to charge me $199 to replace it. I told MikeF I wouldn't do that because I shouldn't have to send a board 4 times in the first place and because of the further damage they've obviously done to get me to pay for a replacement.

Is it still functional?

Nope. But I'm sure 100% the chunk or the scratch I mentioned above were not there.

I've checked the board before I sent it out and I would've noticed them.

This, without any prior evidence, it's their word against yours.

I shouldn't have to take a picture of it in the first place. I've seen other threads on this board about EVGA pulling BS like this.

That sucks man....time to face them they're wanting your money..(get a different board with the money there asking )
if i were you

Take the board use it still ....(which it can most likely still be used
keep using it till something new comes out then make a nice little video to send to evga and shoot the board, dent it up and dress yourself as an EVGA employee and show them what they do mean approach but always handy to piss them off....at some level

It's their word against yours now. I'd advise you to take pictures before you RMA anything in the future.

Don't pay them, anyway. Take them to court if you have to.

I'm pretty sure it's non-functional now.
