Hi all

I have finally decided its time to loose the Coolermaster V8 as much as i love this cooler I just cannot have 4 gigs with it.. I know the cpu is caperbull of 4.0 -- 4.2 at a push but im stuck at 3.84.. sooo there is only one thing for it

Im currently looking at the Corsair Hydro H70 , what do you guys think?? will this give me 4ghz++ stable at a sencible temperature?? anyone else running one of these with a 1090t ??

Your feedback greatly appreciated

I would say you're safe to get 4ghz with an H70.

Go for it.

Both Cooler H70 and DH-14 can get you to 4.0ghz. Are you oc by the multiplier or FSB?

OK. The problem you are having can be cause by your memory being unstable when you oc by the FSB. What is your ram speed set at before you oc by the FSB and is your ram design to run at 1066?

Im starting the memory at 800 it ends up at 481 / 962mhz

The memory is TWIN2X4096-8500C5D 2x2Gb and should be easy good for 1066

Ok sorry to be more clear memory settings are as follows

Start clock 800mhz
Ganged / dual channel mode (enabled)
Sli ready memory enabled
Sli ready momory mode (High frequency) (15% Oc)
memory voltage 2.1

Cpu multiplier 16x
FSB 243
Vcore 1.4725
Temperature... Acording to Coretemp an several other programs idle temps are 32C 42C underload , I Certain this is incorrect though i beleive the temp to be approaching 50 underload maybe a tiny bit higher

to be honest , I think ssomething in that iv never ever had this board above 3.9 stably not with the 965be or this 1090t and i dont think heat was the issue with the 965 more than likley i need a newer motherboard

Crosshair 4 extreme but the misses will kill me specialy when i have to fork out for new memory aswell
