Crosshair 4 extreme but the misses will kill me specialy when i have to fork out for new memory aswell
You can get one that is about the same but cheaper.
Like a BIOSTAR TA890FXE AM3 and memory for the same price as the Crosshair IV.

Oooo this is interesting , and you reacon one of these is just as quick as the Crosshair 4 extreme??

So if i grab one of those a h70 and some memory i should be running a sub 6 second run on wprime(32) and be stable over 4g??

I don't usually say this because it's the generic answer to why is my CPU not stable but try adding some volts to the CPU. I OC with the FSB but for my 965 I needed 1.55 to get stable. Maybe the thubans need less voltage I don't know but 6 cores @ 4.0 is going to be power hungry.
I love my H70 leaves me all the room for by big reaper ram sinks. (see pics in sig).

It is the same except the power phase and one less PCI-E slot. People here is running them just fine.
If you want one just like it with 1 less PCI-E slot then go with ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3.

On Newegg.com
BIOSTAR TA890FXE about $140 shipped
ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 is about $188 shipped.
Good set of is G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 for about $60 shipped.
So the Biostar TA890FXE + memory is $200 shipped.
Asus M4A89TD PRO/USB3 + memory is $228 shipped.
The ASUS Crosshair IV Formula is about $230 shipped. This is for the mobo only.
ASUS Crosshair IV Extreme is about $310 shipped. For the mobo only.
I love my Asus M4A89TD PRO.

Ok. But are you running on an Asus Crosshair II with Nvidia chip set?
The answer is no.

Well i took it upto 1.5 an interestinly it did become more stable at a higher clock ., But it got hot!! and fast i think that voltage is way to much for my cooler and from what i have seen most people do not need anyware near that to get 4ghz stable???

Yes, but with an 8** series mobo you will use less voltage on the cpu.
Example
I had a 965 3.9ghz 1.55v on a 790FX mobo and I swtich to a 890FX. Now I needed 1.5v for 3.9ghz on the 965. I'm not the only 1 that seen it too.

Yep this is true.

Happen to me too when I had a 1090T on a Crosshair III to a IV.

So I think that your cpu cooler will be good enough with a newer mobo. Most 1090T needs 1.4- 1.45v for 4.0ghz on the 8** series mobos.
EDIT
When I had my 1090T. I only needed 1.4v for 4.0ghz on my Asus M4A89TD PRO.
